Mist rolling through the Wicklow mountains at dawn with a single road winding through the valley

01 — The premise

We've been there.

Designovation has holidayed in Wicklow several times. Every visit ends the same way — a slow drive home, already planning the next one. The light on the Sally Gap, the quiet at the upper lake, a harbour town that smells of salt and coffee. It is genuinely breathtaking.

This page is a speculative exploration, not a commissioned project. It asks a simple question: could the digital experience carry that same feeling — before a visitor ever arrives? Fewer lists, more atmosphere. Photography given room to breathe. Planning that feels like anticipation rather than admin.

The round tower and monastic ruins at Glendalough reflected in a still, misted lake

03 — Featured destination

Glendalough

The valley of two lakes

A sixth-century monastic city held between glacier-cut walls. Come early, before the car parks fill, when the water is still and the tower stands in its own reflection.

A concept worth exploring?

We built this because we love the place. If it sparked something, we'd be glad to talk it through — no pitch deck required.
